As you may be aware, recent budget cuts have affected schools deeply and unfortunately our school has fallen victim to the funding shortfall.
Despite our best and ongoing efforts to reduce our expenditure and increase our income, we seem to be fighting a losing battle.
We are a small rural village school for boys and girls between 3 and 11 years with nursery forming an integral part. We currently have 199 pupils on roll.
Children fill the world with magic and wonder and inspire our staff to do the same. But, even the best magicians can't conjure the materials needed for our children to grow from thin air.
The bottom line is we are desperate for Resources.
Curriculum materials are an essential part of the school day. Without them we are unable to fulfill our role as educators and support our learners in their academic journey.
We have always encouraged our staff to use resources sparingly and minimize waste, but there comes a point when too much time is spent scraping glue from the bottom of the stick.
The glory of finding a forgotten box of glue sticks can only be measured with that of a lottery win!
We realize there are lots of schools in the same situation as us and feel their pain, but we now feel we have exhausted all other options and need YOUR HELP.
Please help us to provide the tools our children need to inspire their imagination, stir their senses and ignite their passion for learning.
