Cottenham Primary School PTCA is a very active body with representatives from parents, teachers and teaching assistants. We represent every family whose child attends our school.
Our main aims are to enhance the educational experience of every child and also support the staff by giving time or funds if requested. We currently raise around £20,000 each year with a great deal of our larger events involving the wider community from the village.
School budgets are continually being cut and therefore the funds we raise are even more important. We now supplement classroom essentials as well as maintaining the school pool and providing funding for most of the curriculum enrichment activities that take place.
We are proud that for the last four years we have been able to cap the cost to parents of school trips at £10, which we hope means that all children are able to take advantage of these fantastic opportunities.
